UPCOMING SCREENING - 12/2/10 - Starvation Doctrine will be screened at Brigham Young University (Provo, UT) in the Joseph F. Smith Building (Rm. B190) at 7 pm. Q & A will follow with producer/co-director Mike Searcy. This event is being sponsored by the BYU Anthropology Club.

10/13/10 - Starvation Doctrine was featured at the University of Central Oklahoma Philosophy Symposium.

12/5/09 - Starvation Doctrine screened at the Society for Visual Anthropology Film Festival at the American Anthropological Association Meetings in Philadelphia.

6/12/09 - Starvation Doctrine won Best Oklahoma Short Film at the deadCenter Film Festival in Oklahoma City.

2/17/09 - Starvation Doctrine screened at the Sin Fronteras Film Festival at the University of New Mexico.

11/7/08 - The world premiere of Starvation Doctrine was held at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History in Norman, OK.

6/10/08 - We recently contributed footage to the Al Jazeera English program "We the People." They completed a two-part episode on Oklahoma HB 1804, which is the new law highlighted in our current project. The program is being broadcast internationally and on the web.

6/4/08 - A preliminary injunction was placed on part of the bill highlighted in our current project after employers took a stand against HB 1804's section that requires business owners to verify employee citizenship. Read here.

11/14/07 - We had a great visit to the University of Tulsa where we presented portions of Starvation Doctrine and participated in a discussion panel addressing immigration issues in Oklahoma.
